Best Bets of the Day (March 16th)

It’s 3:16 Day! What?!?!? I said, It’s 3:16 Day! What?!?!?!?!? Well, what do I have for you today? I have 3 good bets for you that are sure to make you want to go out and hit somebody with a Stone Cold Stunner. Yesterday, did I ever have the bets for you! All three of my picks were winners yesterday and I can't say that it was ever really in doubt. All games were blowout victories and it was the easiest money that you will ever cash. With that being said, hopefully the curse of my 1st Leg losses are lifted after yesterday’s performance. Today, I am not picking any college basketball games. I am sick of losing college games that have no business being lost. I feel like college basketball is the worst for betting favorites. I may pick one on Sunday, but today, is going to be college-free. I have a mix of hockey and soccer for you today and I have to say, *knocks on wood*, that I have had pretty good luck picking hockey. Even prop bets that I casually throw these articles and never bet seemingly are always hitting. Last night, Anze Kopitar scored two goals after I suggested that he was a good bet to score a point. I just have this feeling that if I actually follow through on those gut-feeling prop bets, that I will never hit on them. Well, one of these days, I will have to try. Well, enough chit-chat, let’s see what today’s Best Bets of the Day are.

AP

-       NHL Regular Season

New York Rangers (ML) (-142) vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

Buffalo Sabres (ML) (-110) vs. Detroit Red Wings

The Rangers are atop the Metropolitan and the Penguins are 2nd to last. Thank you, that is my analysis. Well, it’s not all I want to say. The Rangers are one of the few teams in the NHL that you can put against anybody and not be shocked if they win. These two teams met in November in Pittsburgh, and the Rangers won a 1-0 shutout with Jonathan Quick in the crease. He is expected to be guarding the net again today and I think he’ll be great. Tristan Jarry is expected to be goalie for the Pens tonight. The Penguins have last 7 of the last 9 and most of those losses are blowouts. The Rangers should win fairly easily today even if it is a road matchup. Puck line odds are +170 if you’re feeling a little bit risky, but I will just play it safe. The Rangers have advantage in virtually everything that is done on the ice.

The Sabres over the Red Wings may be a slightly risky play on the road, but I am going out on a limb here. The Sabres have been putting up monster scores in the last little bit. They have won 3 straight and one of those is including a 7-3 win against the Red Wings at home. The teams have split the season series so far and they will have another matchup in April. The Wings have lost 7 straight and they are really missing Dylan Larkin from their lineup. They’re in the bottom half of the league in terms of goalie play and their defensive units have struggled quite a bit this season. The Sabres have one of the better defensive units in the NHL and they are scorching the nets? Give me Buffalo this afternoon. The Puck Line is +210 for the Sabres today, if you’re feeling lucky. Projected goalies are Luukkonen for Buffalo and Reimer for the Wings. Luukkonen is on fire, Reimer hasn’t been terrible lately, but Luukkonen has the clear advantage right now.

-       English Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur (ML) (+105) vs. Fulham

The Spurs are traveling to Craven Cottage this evening and are favored today. In soccer, the money lines are a bit different, so this money line is actually the favorite. Fulham are not that successful against the Spurs but are capable of winning today. I just don’t think it will happen. Fulham haven’t picked up a win at Craven Cottage against the Spurs in a Premier League matchups since 2013, which is the last time they won against them in league play. Tottenham have won 8 meeting since with 1 draw in between. So, I feel pretty safe about it not going to a draw today. Also, in their last matchup this season, Tottenham won 2-0, with their captain Son Heung-min finding the net and James Maddison as well. It should be a fine soccer match today but give me the Spurs to walk out of Craven Cottage as victors.

NY Rangers (ML); Buffalo Sabres (ML); Tottenham Hotspur (ML)

3-Bet Parlay: +566

Again, I love this 3-bet sequence. All money line bets. Nothing cute. Nothing too risky and a good payoff if successful. That is all you can ask for, right? Happy and safe betting today and remember, this is for fun, not for income.
