Song of the Day: Ramblin' Gamblin' Man

Happy Friday folks! Today, I am going into the 60’s rock vault and pulling out a Bob Seger hit called, “Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man”. The song was performed by his band The Bob Seger System, which is totally different from The Silver Bullet Band. It reached as high as #17 on the charts and was his first major hit of his career. The album’s name is the same as the song and was released in 1969. I would say the genre is definitely more Psychedelic Rock with a little Funk in there. The Eagles very own Glenn Frey was in this song as well, playing acoustic guitar and singing back-up. I had no idea that Bob Seger had an influence on Frey to be a songwriter and pursue musical interests. I have always said, if I was creating my “All-Time Superstar Rock Band” Bob Seger would be my main vocals, that dude has such a unique voice and it’s strong. I hope you all enjoy this song and have a wonderful weekend!
