Song of the Day: California Dreamin

Keeping with the 60’s theme from Tuesday, here is The Mamas & Papas performing California Dreamin “live” on The Ed Sullivan Show. This video is absolutely unbelievable, not just for the incredible 60s vibe that it gives off, but the fact that one of the singers just eats a banana during the “live” performance. Michelle Phillips, who was a legit smokeshow back in the day, literally just eats a banana while on stage performing, or lip singing, live on The Ed Sullivan Show. California Dreamin was definitely the biggest hit by the band and one of the biggest hits and most memorable songs from the 60s. You hear this song and you instantly think of the 60s.
