Teach Your Children by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. This song was released in May of 1970 on the band’s Deja Vu album, which sold over has sold over 8 million copies since and still remains as the band’s as well as each individual’s best selling album. When it was released in 1970, the song peaked at number 16 on the US charts. Fun fact about this song and recording, is that it actually features one more superstar musician other than just Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. The studio recording of this song also features Jerry Garcia, of The Grateful Dead, playing steel guitar. Apparently in return for Garcia playing guitar on the track, they had arranged for the band to work with The Grateful Dead on improving their vocals for their upcoming albums that year with Workingman’s Dead and American Beauty.
