Song of the Day: Sitting On Top of the World

This is an old song that has been done by a few different artists. The most popular version is probably from Doc Watson, who happens to be one of the most beloved musicians from North Carolina, especially from this side of the state. He debuted the song on his first album in 1964. I am going to feature his version as well as the version of Billy Strings. Strings takes everything he plays to a whole other level and I think you will enjoy. Those are the only two that I will feature today, but the Grateful Dead has a great cover of it as well on their debut album. I hope you Billy Strings and Doc Watson’s versions and have a great day.
