Time In A Bottle by Jim Croce. Released in April of 1972 on Jim Croce’s third studio album Don’t Mess Around with Jim. A year and a half later Jim Croce would be tragically killed in an airplane crash and Time In A Bottle would be released as a single two months later. The song would go onto to be #1 and would be Croce’s final number 1 hit in the US.
