Song of the Day: Guerrilla Radio

Welcome to a brand new week! I am continuing our video game theme songs for Song of the Day, and today I’m going back to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2. I never really got into any other skateboarding video game because I never was a skater in real life. But this one I played quite a bit on the original Playstation system. I remember typing in cheat codes on the main screen of this game and unlocking different characters to skate with, mainly Spiderman. I also remember the cheat code that allowed you to fly. So, you could jump in the air, do an unlimited number of tricks before you decided to come back down, and as soon as you landed it, you would rack up an extreme amount of points. And all the times I played this game as a kid and this song would come on, I always thought it said “Lights out, turn on the radio.”
