Song of the Day: Moonlight Bay

Happy Friday folks! Today’s song is a rather historical number entitled, “Moonlight Bay”. The song was published in 1912 and performed by The American Quartet (what a name) and Dolly Connolly. It has been reproduced by many artists after its release and I can say the first time that I heard this song was on Hey Arnold! the tv show, it was on the episode called “Gerald’s Tonsils”. Every once in awhile, I love to listen to these old crooner specials and this is one of the most popular ones. You can also hear a version on SiriusXM’s 40’s Junction and I believe that is Doris Day’s version in her movie On Moonlight Bay, but correct me if I am wrong. With the Winter in full force and Phil predicting 6 more weeks of winter, enjoy a nice hot beverage and sit by the fire while listening to this soothing tune! Enjoy and have a great weekend!
