Song of the Day: Me and My Uncle

Me and My Uncle by The Grateful Dead. A quick, cowboy tune that was originally written by John Phillips of The Mama and the Papas in 1963. The song was first performed by Judy Collins and then later on the Grateful Dead adopted the tune and added it to their repertoire. The Dead were the first band to release the song commercially. Other notable artists that have covered the song are John Denver, Joni Mitchell and Billy Strings.
