Song of the Day: These Eyes

These Eyes by The Guess Who. Released in 1969 on the Canadian band’s fourth studio album, Wheatfield Soul. The song hit the top 10 in both the US and Canada. Despite that I probably never would’ve known this song if not for the movie Superbad. Anyone who’s ever seen Superbad knows the scene where Evan, aka Michael Cera, is mistaken for someone else and forced to sing in front of a bunch of ill-informed strangers. And even despite that scene, I still didn’t really know this song until I was scrolling through SiriusXM radio and I saw the song These Eyes and immediately wondered if it was the one from Superbad. Well it was and here you go, that’s how we’ve arrived at song of the day. Also below the scene from Superbad.
