Song of the Day: Something

Something by The Beatles. Released in September of 1969 on the band’s 11th studio album, Abbey Road. Something was written by guitarist George Harrison, which was Harrison’s second song contributed to the album after Here Comes The Sun. Something would go number 1 in the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Germany. The song was also covered by numerous artists which included Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, James Brown, Smokey Robinson, and much more. Supposedly just over a decade later, Something had been covered by more than 150 different artists, which made it only the 2nd most covered Beatles song ever behind Yesterday. The song was also famously performed by Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton at the George Harrison tribute concert in 2002.
