Song of the Day: What Now My Love

On January 14th, it was the 49th anniversary of the “Aloha from Hawaii”. It was the first Live-Broadcast concert to feature a solo artist and the concert was seen by an estimated 1.5 billion people around the world. A fun fact about it though, it was only aired live in Asia-Pacific countries. It wasn’t aired in the continental US until April, because of scheduling conflicts with Super Bowl VII. The undefeated Dolphins beat the Redskins 14-7. To this day, that is the only undefeated season in NFL History. I wanted to pick a lesser heard song from this concert and I hope you like it. Performance-wise, I think it is definitely one of his best songs from the concert. The song is originally a French song written in 1961 by Gilbert Bécaud and Pierre Delanoë. It was recorded by a lot of great artists and musicians, but if you have an audience of 1.5 billion, naturally your version becomes the most popular. Have a great day everyone and if you’re gonna be inside today because of snow, there’s a lot of good football on TV, so you shouldn’t have any problems being entertained.
