Song of the Day: Piano Man

Piano Man by Billy Joel. Released in November of 1973 on Billy Joel’s second album which featured the same title, Piano Man. The song was Joel’s first hit and breakthrough song. The song reached #25 on the US billboard and #4 on the US Easy Listening charts. And while those are decent numbers, it definitely seems like this song is one that has only grown in popularity through the years. Piano Man is a great sing along song, so you probably would not be surprised to learn that this song is a highlight of Billy Joel concerts with him having the crowd to sing the chorus.
