AEW All Out (2021) Predictions

AEW

AEW

We’re finally here! All Out is tonight, and we are getting our first PPV outside of Daily’s Place since AEW Revolution in 2020. Of all of the huge shows that AEW has had in their small history, this is perhaps the biggest PPV event in their history. The card is loaded. We are going to see 9 main card matches with 1 Buy-In match. The build has been great and the fact that they now have two nationally televised shows helps with that. I’m not gonna waste any more time, here are my predictions for the show.

-       10-Man Tag Team Match

Best Friends and Jurassic Express vs. Hardy Family Office and The Hybrid 2

AEW

AEW

There should be a lot of great action in the preshow. These 4 teams together should be a good start the show and I think they’ll put on a great match. Nothing really tells me that I should be favoring one team over the other, but my gut tells me the faces will get the win.

-       Men’s Singles Match

Jon Moxley vs. Satoshi Kojima

AEW

AEW

I don’t know what will start the main portion of the show, but I think there’s a good chance this will be it. This should be great. A lot of fans, including myself, haven’t seen a lot from Kojima and I’m excited to see him pair off with Moxley. Kojima is an old-school Japanese wrestler and it is naturally a good match for Moxley’s wrestling style. I think this will be a fantastic opener is it is going to be the opener, but I think you can put it anywhere on the card. I’d be a little surprised if Moxley loses here.

-       21-Woman Casino Battle Royale Match

WINNER:  Thunder Rosa

Final Four: Thunder Rosa, Jade Cargill, Nyla Rose, Jamie Hayter

AEW

AEW

You don’t realize how loaded the AEW women’s roster is until we have a match like this. They have a lot of talent and we are starting to see a lot of these women getting a good amount of spotlight time. Like most of these matches, there is always a surprise entry and a lot of us are wondering who that might be. The favorite is probably the performer formerly known as Ruby Riott. I think there’s a good shot it will be her. Her style fits wonderfully with AEW and if she joins the roster, it will be another great addition. Tessa Blanchard is always a possibility. Also, the performer formerly known as Lana could be an interesting choice. Other than that, I can’t think of another “surprise” entry, but those would be interesting. My choice to win the match is Thunder Rosa. I selfishly want to see them revisit the classic match between her and Britt Baker. We will get that eventually, but now that Rosa is officially signed with AEW, I think they’re going to greenlight it. Most people are probably expecting Cargill or Nyla Rose to win, but I think this will be all Thunder Rosa here.

-       Men’s Singles Match

QT Marshall vs. Paul Wight

AEW

AEW

No more BS. The man formerly known as Big Show is competing in an AEW match and it will be the first time he has stepped in the ring since his last WWE match in July of 2020. I have to be honest, I don’t really understand QT Marshall’s resentment against Wight, but here we are. They have made the most with what they have, and the feud hasn’t been that bad. The winner of this match will depend on how clean they keep it. By that I mean, if there is little to no interference, Wight should win. If there is clear interference, Marshall will probably win. It could go either way, but I’m leaning towards Wight.

-       Men’s Singles Match: TNT Championship

Miro (C) vs. Eddie Kingston

AEW

AEW

If Miro is going to drop the belt, Kingston isn’t a bad opponent to drop it to. Kingston is beloved among AEW and he is great on the mic, but with that being said, I don’t think it should happen. Miro’s in-ring ability is far greater than Kingston’s and he should stay the TNT Champ. Miro is just another level of beast and I think the TNT championship is a natural complement for him. However, if Miro is moving on to bigger and better things, a title drop here wouldn’t be shocking.

-       Women’s Singles Match: AEW Women’s World Championship

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D (C) vs. Kris Statlander

AEW

AEW

Baker has certainly become a superstar in the last few months and rightfully so. She is the most over women’s wrestler on the planet right now and a title drop here would make no sense. Since returning from her injury, Kris Statlander has looked great in the ring. Her abilities have improved tremendously, and she earned this title match, but I don’t think she is ready for the belt just yet. Baker is on another level right now and the woman that defeats her will have to at least match that level of competition. Statlander simply isn’t there yet.

-       Men’s Singles Match

MJF vs. Chris Jericho

AEW

AEW

I refuse to believe that this will be the end of Chris Jericho’s career. If it in fact is, MJF is a great opponent to lose to in your farewell match. This match will be the end of what has been a very long and great feud. Regardless of what happens, both performers are better because of this and I’m not going to list the reasons, but both have benefitted tremendously from this rivalry. MJF has been the main beneficiary and will likely go on to bigger and better things. I’m really interested in an MJF/CM Punk matchup and I think a lot of fans are as well. We’ll see what happens here, but I would be surprised if this is the end of Jericho’s career.

-       Men’s Steel Cage Tag Team Match: AEW World Tag Team Championship

The Young Bucks (C) vs. Lucha Bros

BUCKS_vs_LUCHA_BROS_TWITTER_1920x1080.jpg

The Bucks have held the gold for 300 days going into All Out and I think it may be time for them to drop the belts. This prediction is more of a fan prediction than a realistic prediction though. The Bucks will probably retain here, but I think it would be very interesting if we have new champs here. These two teams have matched up quite a bit in the past and each match has been great. Both teams are fairly even when it comes to their matchups too. I think this will be a nice change of pace and The Young Bucks don’t really need the belts anymore at this point.

-       Men’s Singles Match: AEW World Championship

Kenny Omega (C) vs. Christian Cage

OMEGA_vs_CCAGE_TWITTER_1920x1080.jpg

This would be by far the biggest shock of the night if Christian Cage wins here. Cage defeated Omega on premiere of Rampage, but I kinda expected that to happen. There would’ve been no point to have the match here if Cage would’ve lost a couple weeks ago. Omega isn’t going to drop the belt just yet. If Omega survives tonight, he will become the longest reigning AEW Champion in history. This should be a great match and a lot of people are thinking that we’ll see a big debut after this match, but we’ll see.

-       Men’s Singles Match

CM Punk vs. Darby Allin

PUNK_vs_DARBY_TWITTER_1920x1080.jpg

If I were booking the show, there’s no way that this match wouldn’t go on last. CM Punk is returning to the ring after nearly an 8-year hiatus. He left WWE at the top and has been a topic of discussion ever since. Many fans thought he was never coming back, and it is still surprising to see him on TV again. There are a lot of questions about his return. Has he missed a step? Can he put on a great match? Did he change his wrestling style?  A lot of questions will be answered tonight and no matter what happens, I think a lot of us fans will be just be anxious to see his return. Darby Allin is a great opponent for him and regardless of the outcome, both wrestlers will benefit tremendously from this match.
