Song of the Day: Charlie Brown

Charlie Brown by Coldplay. Released in 2012 on the band’s fifth studio album Mylo Xyloto. The song hit #4 on the US alternative charts and hit the top 5 in a handful of European countries. And I don’t know why I remember this but the song was used as the theme song to the 2012 Euros. I don’t remember any other Euro tournament theme songs, not even the one from this past summer, but I can still remember 2012. Obviously because they chose such a good song. I feel like it’s a song that just puts you in a good mood no matter what. You might also be wondering why the title to the song is Charlie Brown, which I didn’t know this until now, but apparently the early version of the song mentioned the famous Peanuts character, and while the lyric was dropped they still kept the song title.
