Song of the Day: Wooly Bully

I don’t know why, but this song just popped in my head the other day and I can’t get it out. I feel like this is a song that everyone in America has heard at one point in their lives. The song was released in 1965 by Sam the Sham and The Pharaohs and reached all the way to number 2 on the charts. It was blocked by The Beach Boys song, “Help Me, Rhonda” for many weeks. Despite not reaching number one, it was named the 1965 Year-End Number One by Billboard. Also, if any of you out there had NFL GameDay 2000 on the PlayStation like me and AustYn did, you probably heard this song when you scored a touchdown. I always thought it was cool that they had celebration music. The game also had “R-E-S-P-E-C-T'“ by Aretha Franklin and “Louie, Louie” by The Kingsmen as TD celebrations. There were more songs like that, but I can’t remember them right off the top of my head. I hope you all have a great Sunday.
