Song of the Day: Alabama Jubilee

Happy Sunday and I hope you are all having a great day so far. This song goes out to the Sports Chief owner Garett and he’ll know exactly why I picked this song today. I couldn’t choose which version of this song to feature because there are so many great versions of this song, but I’m going to treat ya’ll to a double feature of sorts. The two versions I chose are traveling back to 1951 with Red Foley’s rendition and Jerry Reed’s 1970 release. Foley’s is probably the most famous version of the song, but the song is much older than that actually. Foley brought a unique style to his music and he is one of my personal favorite country music artists, but Jerry Reed’s version has that 70’s country style where he makes that guitar comes alive. I can’t really choose between the two, so I’ll give you both. Have a great Sunday everyone.
