NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts 253 DFS Preview

We are back at Daytona…this time at the road course. Chase Elliott has been quite dominant and he has won the last 4 NASCAR Cup Series events on road courses, including the last won at Daytona’s road course. With him starting on the pole, that makes him the odds on favorite 2/1 according to Bovada. The 3.5ish mile track is a unique one compared to the “normal” road events. With the ROVAL being added a couple years ago, it seems that NASCAR is making an effort to improve their road racing product. I personally like Joey Logano at 18/1 to win…he looked really solid in the Busch Clash…and I understand that Elliott and Truex Jr. (3.5/1) have been awesome on road courses, but their odds are very high to me. Track position will be key, but late cautions have been prevalent this weekend, so drivers could easily run 68 great laps and have it thrown away in Turn 1 of a Green-White-Checkered event. Best of luck to you at Daytona!
