Song of the Day: Polk Salad Annie

I’ve not been a great mood lately, but when I finally got the chance to watch Ford vs. Ferrari last night I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was the movie really good, but they featured an instrumental song from my favorite artist and we have an inside joke around The Sports Chief that if a movie contains an Elvis song, it is automatically rated 7/10 for me. “Polk Salad Annie” was the song it is one of my personal favorites of Elvis. The song was originally recorded and written by Tony Joe White. I’ll also attach the Ford vs. Ferrari instrumental version as well, which happened to be performed by Elvis Presley’s lead guitarist, James Burton. I hope you enjoy and have a great Sunday.
