AEW All Out (2020) Predictions

All Out is finally here and we’re finally getting crowds in limited capacity. Live crowd or not, this is a stacked card. It looks like it is going to be quite a lengthy show with 10 matches on the card thus far. We’ll see how far it goes, but I think they’ll want to put on the best show possible with fans being in attendance. When I look at the card, I don’t see a lot of potential for upsets, but I could be wrong. The storylines are, for the most part, interesting and there are a lot of possibilities within the show. Here are my predictions for the show.

*Predicted winners are bolded

*Match card is likely not in the exact order

-       Men’s Tag Team Match

Private Party vs. The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds and John Silver)

AEW

AEW

It looks like we’re only getting one Buy-In match for the night and it should be a decent matchup. Private Party hasn’t been on TV a ton lately, but I think they pick up the win tonight. Dark Order is basically putting their C team in this contest, so I think it would be a mistake for Private Party not to win, even though in the grand scheme of things, this match won’t amount to much.

-       Men’s Tag Team Match

Jurassic Express vs. The Young Bucks

AEW

AEW

This has the makings of a high octane fast-paced tag match. Will this be a part of the storyline of the tag title match later in the show? I feel like it will be. Personally, my gut feeling is that The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega turn heel. I think they’re trying to get us to believe that Page is going to turn, but I think they’ll pull a swerve on us. I’ve been wrong before though. The only way I see The Young Bucks losing is if someone gets involved in the match and aids Jurassic Express to somehow spite The Bucks, maybe Hangman?

-       Tooth and Nail Match

Britt Baker vs. Big Swole

AEW

AEW

This match is a unique one especially for AEW. What does a tooth and nail match consist of you may ask? It is a No-DQ Fall Count Anywhere Match that will take place in Dr. Britt Baker’s dentist office. Baker’s last in-ring match was just prior to Double or Nothing in May and I think it will be pretty exciting to see her in action again. With this not taking place in a ring setting, it will likely be pretty gimmicky, but hopefully Baker is good to go at full capacity. This should be interesting also in the sense that it may turn out to be a number one contender match for the Women’s Championship. I guess we’ll see though. I’m going with Baker and her home field advantage, but it wouldn’t surprise me a bit to see Swole pick up the win either. Britt Baker is the slight favorite.

-       21-Man Casino Battle Royale

Winner: Lance Archer

LAST 4: Darby Allin, Brian Cage, Eddie Kingston, Lance Archer

Battle Royal matches are not normally match of the night caliber and this will probably be the case here too. I still think it will be a really interesting match due to the fact that the winner gets a shot at the AEW World Championship. I personally think that Lance Archer gets a shot at the title, because for starters, he hasn’t had an opportunity at the main title. Other than that, he has only lost one match in his AEW tenure. I think he and Moxley would put on a heck of a match. Also, there are currently 17 confirmed entrants in the battle royal, which means there are 4 that aren’t announced. Miro, formerly known as Rusev, is a name that has been floated around to be a surprise entrant, but other than that I haven’t heard any possible surprises. It was reported earlier in the week that Brock Lesnar is currently a free agent, but I would be absolutely shocked if he made an appearance tonight. Darby Allin is the current favorite for the match with Lance Archer slightly trailing.

-       Broken Rules Match

Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara

AEW

AEW

A Broken Rules Match is basically a last man standing match, so whoever cannot stand before a ref’s 10-count loses the match. If Matt Hardy loses, he has to leave AEW. With that being said, I think he loses tonight. Do I think Matt Hardy will leave AEW though? Not really. I think Matt Hardy will come up with a new gimmick and become someone else, therefore voiding the fact that Matt Hardy has to leave AEW, due to a technicality. If that isn’t the case and I’m overthinking it, I think Matt Hardy wins without a doubt. I guess we’ll see and I think it will be interesting to see what happens. Hardy is a -400 favorite.

-       8-Man Tag Team Match

The Dark Order (Brodie Lee, Colt Cabana, Evil Uno, Stu Grayson) vs. Dustin Rhodes, QT Marshall, Scorpio Sky, and Matt Cardona

AEW

AEW

Although this match favors The Dark Order by a large margin, I think it is basically a toss-up. I can’t think of a big reason why either team should win the match. I personally think that this is just a setup for Brodie Lee and Scorpio Sky or Matt Cardona down the road for the TNT Championship, but who knows. This should be just another opportunity for Dark Order to gain a little more momentum moving forward.

-       Men’s Tag Team Match: AEW World Tag Team Championship

Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page (C) vs. FTR

AEW

AEW

Omega and Page have held the belts for nearly 8 months, but it feels like it has been at least a full year. I think it all comes to an end tonight. I kinda thought they would’ve lost them earlier, but they still are the champs. It appears that Page is turning against everyone and is going to go his own route, but who knows. Omega and Page could retain and this could be another swerve that they’re trying to pull. I still have this feeling that Page isn’t going to turn, but the other members of The Elite will. I just have that feeling, but I also think I’m pondering this over too much. I expect The Young Bucks to be involved with the match somehow, but I’m not really sure how. It should be a fun match though.

-       Women’s Singles Match: AEW Women’s World Championship

Hikaru Shida (C) vs. Thunder Rosa

AEW

AEW

I’ve heard a lot of buzz about Thunder Rosa, but last week was the first time that I have ever seen her in a match. She is pretty impressive I must say and I think this is one of the matches that I am most anxious to see on the card. Thunder Rosa is the current NWA Women’s Champion, which is probably the most prestigious title in women’s wrestling. This match should be very exciting, but I don’t expect Shida to drop the title. Shida has held the title for a little over 3 months and I don’t expect her to drop it. Due to the women’s roster containing a lot of international talent and the world basically having travel restrictions everywhere, it has hurt the women’s division even more, but it is good to see NWA and AEW join forces for an inter-promotional match.

-       Mimosa Mayhem Match

Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy

AEW

AEW

I, and I think every wrestling fan in history, can honestly say that I have never seen a match stipulation where you can win the contest by throwing an opponent in a mimosa filled tank. This feud has gone on longer than I have expected, but that is a good thing. They’re wanting to legitimize Orange Cassidy as a competitor and they’re going about it perfectly. Jericho losing this match doesn’t harm him at all, but this could be huge for Orange Cassidy and I think he wins tonight. If he wins, not only does he gain more credibility as a performer, but he earns a huge PPV win against a legend to his resume. With this likely being the payoff match, it doesn’t make sense for Jericho to win. Odds are tied for both performers, but I’m giving the edge to Freshly Squeezed.

-       Men’s Singles Match: AEW World Championship

Jon Moxley (C) vs. MJF

AEW

AEW

This will be the last match of the night and it should be a great matchup. I didn’t think MJF would be getting a title shot this early on, but here we are. I don’t think MJF wins the title tonight though. Would it be a shock? Not really, but I think it would be just a little bit of a rush to get the title on him. He is only 24 years old with a full career ahead of him, there is no need to rush to make him a champion. Although I think there would be a decent number of fans upset with an MJF loss, I think it is for the best for right now. You could make MJF a bigger star in another year or two and then put the title on him. Moxley is a slight favorite tonight and I think he retains.
