Song of the Day: In Bloom

Here is some background information on "In Bloom" from songfacts.com : Kurt Cobain wrote this about Dylan Carlson, one of his most reliable friends throughou...

In Bloom by Nirvana. Released as the fourth single on the band’s iconic Nevermind album which was released in September of 1991. Like pretty much everything the band was putting out at that time, it was a success, peaking at #5 on the mainstream rock billboard. But the funny thing is, the song is arguably more popular now that it was then. While it peaked at #5 on the rock charts that year, the song actually ranked #7 on the decade chart for 2010-2019. I don’t know if that’s a bigger sign of how bad mainstream rock is these days or just how good Nirvana and the 90’s were but still in its 3rd decade, Nirvana and their music continue better than ever.
