I Want You (She’s So Heavy) by The Beatles. I Want You appeared on The Beatles 2nd to last studio album, Abbey Road, in 1969. Abbey Road is obviously one of the most iconic albums and album covers in the history of music. Coming in at just under 8 mins, makes I Want You the 2nd longest song The Beatles ever recorded. 8 mins for a song your typical Pink Floyd, not typical Beatles. As I previously mentioned, The Beatles would go on to make 1 more studio album, but this was the last album in which all four band members would appear in the studio together. And while I Want You was one of the first songs recorded for the album it was one of the last songs to be finished on August 20, 1969, which was the last time all four Beatles were in the studio together. So this version you are hearing was completed on the final day The Beatles were ever in a recording studio together. A little piece of history.
