WWE Power Rankings: Week of July 26th 2020

There was a lot of good action in the WWE this week and I thought each show was solid. NXT probably had better matches than the rest, but it wasn’t by a large margin. Things are heating up in NXT due to the fact that it was announced that Keith Lee would relinquish the North American Championship. The other shows just had some good action. Here are my rankings for the week and I will also include last week’s rankings because I wasn’t able to release those.

10: Mustafa Ali, Cedric Alexander, and Ricochet

WWE

WWE

Mustafa Ali returned to action after a 5-month hiatus and it also appears that his first name is back as well. This trio defeated the team of MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin and it was a solid match. I think the big thing that will come out of this will be Mustafa Ali getting a potential push. I noticed the last time I went to a live WWE event, Ali was over with the crowd, and he wasn’t even on TV, it was a dark match. He is a great talent and I think we can expect big things from him in the near future.

9: Timothy Thatcher

WWE

WWE

Thatcher had a great win against Oney Lorcan on Wednesday and we could see him featured even more in the coming weeks. He could be in contention for the North American Championship coming up.

8: Gran Metalik

WWE

WWE

I can’t tell you the last time that I have seen Gran Metalik in a singles match and to be quite honest, I don’t know if I have ever seen him in a singles match. He picked up a big win in the Fatal 4-Way match on Friday to decide the new number one contender for the IC title. He will face AJ Styles next week.

7: The Street Profits

WWE

WWE

This wasn’t really a momentous victory for the Profits, but a nice win in a great match nonetheless. The RAW tag champs defeated Angel Garza and Andrade on RAW and it was a fun match.

6: Seth Rollins

WWE

WWE

After a weird win at Extreme Rules, Rollins had a match against Aleister Black on RAW and picked up a clean pinfall victory. It was odd seeing Aleister Black lose clean, but it doesn’t really harm him losing to someone of the caliber of Rollins.

5: Kairi Sane

WWE

WWE

It appears that Kairi Sane is on her way out of the WWE, but it looks like they’re sending her out the right way. Sane picked up a win against Bayley on RAW and the match was entertaining. I hate to see Sane go, but I totally understand the situation. I wish she and Asuka could get a feud in the end, but she had a solid NXT career and she was key in establishing the Women’s Tag titles.

4: Bronson Reed

WWE

WWE

Reed defeated Roderick Strong and Johnny Gargano in his NA title qualifying match on Wednesday and when you have a chance to work with guys like Gargano and Strong, it is difficult to not have a good match. Reed looked the best that I think he has ever looked and we’ll see how well he does in the coming weeks.

3: Randy Orton

WWE

WWE

Randy Orton and Big Show battled in the matin event of RAW in an unsanctioned match. Orton picked up the win and carried the match for the most part. This isn’t a shock, but it was more about continuing a story rather than it being a wonderful match. I like that they’re revisiting Orton’s Legend Killer gimmick he had earlier in his career, but we’ll see how long it continues.

2: Jeff Hardy

WWE

WWE

Again, not really a great match, but it was more about the spot it was put in. Hardy won the matin event Bar Fight against Sheamus on Friday. A lot of fans don’t like this particular storyline, but like i’ve said before, the Attitude Era was filled with these types of storylines. Not to say it was the right thing, but it is the truth. This really should’ve been a PPV match, because it didn't really feel right on SmackDown.

1: Karrion Kross

WWE

WWE

I personally thought that Karrion Kross was the strongest competitor in the WWE this week. He defeated Dominik Dijakovic in the main event of NXT. It looks like he is the overwhelming favorite to become the North American Champion
