Song of the Day: Jack Straw
Jack Straw being performed live by The Grateful Dead from their Europe ‘72 album. Europe ‘72 was a live triple album that was obviously from their tour of Europe that year. This specific version of Jack Straw was from their May 3, 1972 concert at the L’Olympia in Paris. To me one of the great things about the Grateful Dead is how every performance of a song is different. Most bands go into a tour and play the same setlist and play the songs exactly the same each night. But not the Dead. No concert and song is the same.
