Song of the Day: Can't You Hear Me Calling

Happy Friday folks! We are going in a different direction for Song of the Day…as we dive into the world of bluegrass. I try to pick a variety of music for my segment and I found one of the most historic songs in bluegrass history. Bill Monroe came out with, “Can’t You Hear Me Calling” in 1949. The rendition that I have picked is by Billy Strings and Del McCoury. Billy is an up and coming artist that caught my attention for his,“Dust in a Baggie” song (that he wrote). This live version of the Bill Monroe classic is awesome and you can tell that Billy impresses the legend Del McCoury in this one. Reach way down and grab those Americana roots and dig some Billy Strings. Have a great weekend!
