Song of the Day: Christmas Time

It’s December 7th, less than three weeks until Christmas day. In other words, it’s Christmas time. But don’t let me tell you that, let the very talented rapper Lazy Eye Larry be the one. “Christmas Time” is his Christmas special that dropped on YouTube five years ago. At the time it was the hottest Christmas song on the airwaves when people all around America just couldn’t get enough. Perhaps it was the visuals from the classic Christmas movie “Christmas Vacation.” Perhaps it was the chill flow of the beat combined with the Christmas bells. But most likely it was Larry himself with his infamous knack for dropping the hottest lyrics in the smoothest of fashions. After peaking as the #1 Christmas song in 2015, it began to slide down the chart a little bit in following Christmas seasons, making room once again for classics like “The Christmas Song” and “White Christmas.” But we must not ever forget what could be the greatest Christmas musical performance of all time.
