AEW Power Rankings: Week of November 12th 2020

AEW is coming in hot after a great PPV last Saturday. This week’s Dynamite did produce the viewer rating that they were hoping for, but the show was really good. This week’s Rankings will not be about Dynamite sadly though, because the PPV just means more in the grand scheme of things. This week, I will rank the Top 5 keeping Full Gear in mind.

5: Kenny Omega

Omega did an interview on Dynamite this week, but his performance at Full Gear warranted a Top 5 spot. He and Hangman Page had a great match and it appears that Omega and Moxley will face each other at the beginning of next month on Dynamite. It should be an exciting match.

4: MJF

I thought about putting the Inner Circle in this spot with MJF, but I think MJF deserves the spot by himself. MJF defeated Chris Jericho on Saturday and The Inner Circle held an induction ceremony in his honor on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see where this leads, but it looks like The Inner Circle may be falling from the inside out with the introduction of MJF.

3: The Young Bucks

The Young Bucks weren’t in action on Wednesday night, but they tore the house down on Saturday night. The earned the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Full Gear by beating FTR in a wonderful match. The Bucks are taking on Top Flight next week for the belts on Dynamite, so that should be another interesting contest.

2: Darby Allin

We didn’t get that Sting appearance, but what we did get was a memorable performance by one of the most beloved performers in AEW. Darby Allin captured the TNT Championship from Cody Rhodes on Saturday and it appears that he will be in a short-term feud with Brian Cage and Ricky Starks. We’ll see what happens in the near future, but Allin winning the belt is what the fans wanted to see last Saturday.

1: Jon Moxley

Moxley successfully defended the big gold on Saturday against Eddie Kingston in a thrilling match. Moxley’s reign has been wonderful, but is it soon coming to an end? Possibly, but I hope Moxley carries the belt into 2021. Moxley will face Omega in 3 weeks and it will be the biggest match in Dynamite history. There is plenty of time to build a great feud by then and their history in the early stages of AEW already give them a head start. I’m anxious to see what happens.
