Have You Ever Seen The Rain by Creedance Clearwater Revival. Written by lead singer John Fogerty and released by CCR in 1971. It’s always been speculated that this was another song about the Vietnam War much like Fortunate Son, and that’s what I’ve always heard about this song as well. But apparently according to Fogerty himself, the song is written about the rising tensions in the band and the eventual break-up of the band just a year later, despite them being top of the charts and their fame and success at an all-time high. Either way it’s a great song and my only gripe is that it’s not longer, coming in at 2 minutes and 39 seconds. The song has also been covered numerous times by at least 50 or more artists according to the list on wikipedia. It’s even been covered in Spanish.
