Runnin’ With The Devil by Van Halen. You wanna talk about coming out of the gates swinging, Runnin’ With The Devil was the first song of the band’s self-titled debut album, Van Halen, which was released in 1978. Van Halen is a band I always associate with the 80’s but their first two albums came out in 1978 and 1979. Runnin’ With The Devil is one of those songs that has a simple guitar riff but such a catchy and great sounding riff. It doesn’t always have to be overly complicated and this guitar riff right here case in point. It’s also a sound that nobody else replicates. There’s not many out there but there’s a handful of guitarist that the moment you hear the guitar you automatically know who it is, and that’s definitely the case as well with Eddie Van Halen. RIP EVH. One of the best guitarist to ever do it.
