For the third straight year, ESPN2 will become ESPN8, The Ocho for 24 hours.  Starting tonight at midnight, The Ocho will run all day tomorrow, the 7th, and conclude at midnight.  If you are familiar with the movie “Dodgeball,” then you are familiar with ESPN The Ocho.  In the movie, the network hosted the dodgeball tournament that Vince Vaughn (Peter La Fleur) and Ben Stiller (White Goodman) played in.  Inspired from the movie, State Farm is sponsoring this move which will feature a full day of odd games that you may or may not have ever heard of.

If you haven’t seen the movie, you should plan to check it out.  The Ocho will feature it twice in the 24-hour span, once at the beginning and once at the end.  It’s a funny and entertaining movie, and will give you some insight to the inspiration for why ESPN2 will be transformed all day long.  So get ready to enjoy a full day of odd and random games that people take very seriously.  In the time of year where sports are a little slow, it’s a perfect time to watch people battle it out in Chess Boxing!
