Is that More Than A Feeling? Nope just Nirvana going a little off script to start Smells Like Teen Spirit at their famous set from the Reading Festival circa 1992. The reason for the More Than A Feeling tangent by Nirvana was due to how many people in the media had pointed out the similarities in the guitar riffs between the two songs. While nothing ever came of it and Boston lead man, Tom Scholz, said he didn’t mind, this didn’t stop Nirvana from taking a dig at the media.

Also despite this festival being roughly a year after Nirvana released Smells LIke Teen Spirit and became the biggest bad in the world, you tell that they already hate the song with Kurt Cobain’s purposeful less than stellar guitar and vocal performance. Imagine being that big of a band and that well loved that you could play your most famous song badly and the fans still eat it up. But other than that, the set as a whole is still considered one of the band’s best performances ever.
