WWE Power Rankings: Week of June 13th

I’m going to be blunt, this was a very dull week. I absolutely struggled coming up with a Top 5 and it was even more difficult to fill out the Top 10. I don’t have much to say about this week’s programming, so here are my rankings.

-      10: Lars Sullivan (NR)

WWE

WWE

The segment that he was in wasn’t a particularly good one, but the WWE got their message across this week with this superstar. It is clear that they are grooming him to be a possible big-time player. In his last two matches, he has absolutely destroyed Lucha House Party and it will be interesting to see what they do next with him.

-      9: Alexa Bliss (3)

WWE

WWE

She was featured quite a bit this week, so that is why Miss Bliss is still in the Top 10. Her rocky relationship with Nikki Cross seems like it is about to take a turn and her upcoming match against Bayley next Sunday night should be interesting. When healthy, she is always in consideration for a title.

-      8: Sami Zayn (NR)

WWE

WWE

Sami Zayn was on TV a lot this week. He has a lot of heat, but he really hasn’t had a consistent story to build upon. At the moment, the chase for major title consideration is very crowded right now. I think Zayn will have a shot pretty soon, but I’m not expecting major title reign in the near future.

-      7: Aleister Black (NR)

It is really sad that Aleister Black isn’t competing right now. For someone that is in his spot, this usually means that they are thinking bigger picture for him, but I think they’ll find a way to mess it up. Black has so much potential to be a star, but we’ll see if it comes to fruition. He had a very blunt promo this week, so hopefully he will be inserted into a feud soon.

-      6: The Miz (NR)

He was another performer that was featured a bunch this week. I wanted to include at least one person from the 6-Man Tag match on RAW featuring The Miz, Braun Strowman, Ricochet, Bobby Lashley, Cesaro, and Samoa Joe. He also hosted two episodes of Miz TV. I’m not so sure that doing away with the brand split is such a good idea with a three-hour RAW and a soon-to-be three-hour SmackDown. We are seeing a lot of good superstars getting ignored and we are seeing a handful of superstars getting too much airtime. The Miz getting featured this much is perfectly fine, but other performers that he feuds with are on TV too much. Just my opinion.

-      5: Bayley (NR)

Bayley has been a great champion thus far. I’ve never been a huge fan of Bayley. but I have always known that she could get it done in the ring. She has an upcoming match with Alexa Bliss at Stomping Grounds for her SmackDown Women’s Championship. I don’t know how long they intend on letting her hang onto the title, but she is thriving in the role as champ.

-      4: Shane McMahon (8)

WWE

WWE

Too much TV time. Shane McMahon is getting way too much TV time. He is wearing down the WWE Universe. He is the most featured superstar in the WWE and that is very sad. He is at number 4 only because of his TV time, because if I was ranking this as a fan, he wouldn’t be anywhere close to the Top 10.

-      3: The Revival (NR)

WWE

WWE

it is refreshing to see The Revival getting another shot to prove themselves as champions. They defeated the team of Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins and The Usos to earn the RAW Tag Team Championships for the second time in their career. The tag team division is stale and has been for quite a while, so hopefully this could change things.

-      2: The New Day (5, NR, NR)

WWE

WWE

I decided to give the trio a nod this week instead of just Kofi Kingston, because Big E returned to the ring this week and brought some excitement back to Tuesday nights. The New Day won the main event on SmackDown by defeating the team of Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Dolph Ziggler. It appears that Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston will battle inside a steel cage next Sunday night for the WWE Championship, so this may be the end of their feud.

-      1: Bray Wyatt (4)

I said earlier that it was difficult to choose a Top 5 this week, but I couldn’t think of a better option this week. He has been involved in the most interesting segment on RAW each week for the last couple of months, but it remains to be seen when he will jump into action. Also, Rambling Rabbit is taking an absolute beating in these videos. Hopefully they make the most of Wyatt when he makes his return to the ring.
