Song of the Day: Roll On Down the Highway

We’re bringing some Bachman-Turner Overdrive to ya this morning with their hit “Roll On Down the Highway.” This song was written by band members Fred Turner and Robbie Bachman after they had been contacted by Ford to write a song for the automotive company to use for a commercial. When Ford didn’t use the tune, the Canadien group turned it into one of their biggest hits. It was released in 1975 on the album Not Fragile.
