Song of the Day: Little Wing
The footage from this performance……well let’s just say it’s not HD. Little Wing is the song being performed live by Jimi Hendrix and his crew. Little Wing is one of Jimi’s best songs, it just doesn’t get the radio play that his others get. The song itself has a laid back, blues vibe to it and then halfway through Jimi hits you with a tame, by his standards, but perfect guitar solo that matches the vibe of the rest of the song. As for the performance itself, I have no clue when or where this performance was but the sound is incredible for a live performance. Other than the few crowd noises, this almost sounds like it’s a studio version.
