Song of the Day: Louie Louie

Start your week off right with the classic “Louie Louie” from The Kingsmen. I don’t know anybody who doesn’t like this song and it’s definitely one that puts you in a good mood whenever you hear it. The song was originally from Richard Berry, who wrote it in 1955 and released it as a single in 1957. It went on to be covered by countless artists, but the most popular version, and the one that we’re all familiar with, is from The Kingsmen, who released it on their 1963 album The Kingsmen in Person. The Kingsmen pretty much turned it into a party tune, which is exactly how it was used in the movie National Lampoon’s Animal House. That’s one reason why this song can instantly put you into a good mood, because most likely you’ve heard it in a lot of light-hearted, fun, and exciting settings. Enjoy your Monday and your new week. Make it count.
