The Kentucky Derby has been an American spectacle since 1875, and remains as popular now as its inception. GarettMaximum Security (8/1)

Maximum Security will win. In fact, it’s not even going to be close.  It will be a massacre.  Charlie from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia discovered the remains from the first horse massacre at the depths of the Delaware River.  This will be the next great horse massacre and Maximum Security will be the culprit.  Upon which he’ll be sent to a maximum-security prison.  It’s all in the name and the horse is calling his shot.

ThannyBy My Standards (15/1)

The moment I saw this horses name I knew we had a winner on our hands. By My Standards likes to do it his way and play by his own set of rules and if that means providing his bettors with a great bang for their buck at 15-1 and being the first winner from the 3 spot since 1998 then so be it. It’s by By My Standards standards and that’s the way she goes.

Jarail:Gray Magician (50/1)

Taking back to Yu-Gi-Oh! days. Dark Magician was the man, always pulled through, so Gray Magician should be solid too...not as good but he got potential.

YacsMaximum Security (8/1)

Maximum Security is a born winner. Not only has he won every race he has entered, but with two Triple Crown winners (Secretariat and Seattle Slew) and the 1964 Derby Winner (Northern Dancer) in his pedigree, look for him to go for the win. Also, his grandfather is Irish, so the grit is in his blood.

This horse gives me a Mac vibe from Always Sunny. Something tells me Maximum Security performed an ocular pat down to all the competition and made the necessary adjustments.

AustYnTacitus (8/1)

Sharing a name with a famous Roman historian, history runs deep with Tacitus. Donning a distinct gray/roan coat, Tacitus stands out among its competitors. To quote the great Tacitus, “He that fights and runs away, may turn and fight another day; But he that is in battle slain, will never rise to fight again.” I see Tacitus running away from this one.

Beno: Roadster (5/1)

Ok look homie I’m gonna tell you straight up. When it comes to 4 legged racing your gonna need to pick a horse that’s quick out the gate and has plenty of stamina, so I’m gonna have to go with Roadster. With a name like that it’s obviously a robotic horse made by Tesla with the same specs as the 2020 Tesla Roadster, which is probably against the rules so shhhhh don’t tell nobody. Anyways that means he’ll be the quickest out the gate with a 0-60 time of 1.9 seconds and be able to sprint it out till the end easily with a max distance of 620 miles. So it’s pretty clear that Roadster will win.

Maximum Security appears to be a staff favorite. The odds-on favorite Improbable (5/1) is starting at gate 5, which has produced the most previous Derby winners at 10. Remember folks, Beno says, “Picking based off odds is a rookie mistake.” Make sure to watch the 145th Kentucky Derby at 6:50 P.M. EDT. on NBC.
