Song of the Day: Riders On The Storm

Riders On The Storm by The Doors. The last song ever recorded by the band. Released in April on 1971 on the band’s 6th studio album, L.A. Woman. The song as well as the entire album was produced by the band itself after Paul Rothchild, who produced the previous Doors’ albums, got fed up with the band due to their apathy in recording this final album. The Doors were under contract to produce one more album and pretty much all of the members of the band were just not into it. It wasn’t until after Rothchild left, that the energy of the band came back and produced what some consider, the best album the band released.
